Montane Men's Spirit Lite Waterproof Trousers

Weighing in at a paltry 245g these waterproof trousers are definitely what I would consider lightweight. Obviously they have fully taped seams so would qualify for mountain marathons and any mountain event requiring fully waterproof kit. They have become my go-to waterproof trousers for just such events. They have full length zips on each leg meaning getting them on and off whilst wearing skis / crampons is fairly straightforward. The zips are double, meaning it’s possible to open them from the top to ventilate your legs on the move without removing the trousers. The elasticated waist is fully adjustable so the trousers can be worn high or low depending on the rucksack you are wearing. I don't find that I am having to constantly re tighten them over the course of a walk or a run like I have had to do with others in the past. I do miss any sort of pocket on the outside, but that's not a biggie.
They retail at £170.
All in all I'm a big fan.
